- DEPTH: Controls the amplitude of the LFO. Turn knob clockwise for a more intense flange sound, and counter-clockwise for less.
- MIX: Controls the wet/dry mix. Turn knob clockwise to hear more effect and counter-clockwise to hear less.
- RATE: Controls the rate of the LFO from 0.077Hz to about 6Hz. Turn knob clockwise for a faster LFO and counter- clockwise for slower. It’s essentially the pulse of your flange.

- FREQ: This controls the amount of boost at a specified frequency band, from 2.4KHz to 5KHz, which you set with the internal trimmer. When the knob is fully counterclockwise, it’s out of the circuit. When you turn it up all the way, you’ll get a full 10dB boost at the selected frequency.
- BLEND: This control blends the signal coming out of the Freq control with the Aiwa deck circuit. Nudge it south-of-max to gain back some of your pick attack, and turn it all the way down to hear just the EQ’d dry signal. When all the way down, make sure you turn your master up to compensate and vice-versa.
- SAT: Controls the amount of feedback present in the first stage of the Aiwa unit. You can think of it as a “gain range” control. This control was not included on the original unit and was set to a fixed value. The default setting on the original is a hair past noon, everything else is extra.

- INPUT Controls the input sensitivity. Turn it down when using higher output pickups and humbuckers or to dial in your wah sound (more on that later). Turn it up for lower output pickups or for when you want to go over-the-top!
- GAIN Controls the gain of the second gain stage. It is not a conventional gain control, rather, it controls the amount of negative feedback in that stage. What does that mean for you? It means you get a wide-ranging gain control that sounds great throughout its entire rotation!
- FILTER Allows you to dial in your final tone from smooth and creamy all the way to bright and cutting. You can quickly find the sweet spot for your rig with this control. If you are familiar with the Filter control on a Rat then what you’ll find is that this is an even better version of that idea!

- MOD: This parameter controls the rate of the multi-voiced chorus and changes some of the frequencies in the reverb oscillation.

- Essentially an input gain control. Increasing this control will boost your signal and add harmonic complexity. You can drive the tremolo into a gritty breakup when cranked, or use it as a gritty harmonic booster with the DEPTH control turned off.
- This controls the overall output level of the Valcoder. Setting the INPUT control to minimum and turning up the OUTPUT knob will give you a cleaner tremolo sound that will match your bypassed signal in volume.
- Turning up the INPUT control will add some harmonics and grit as well as volume. The OUTPUT control can be used to attenuate the volume boost available from the INPUT knob should you want to get that gritty harmonic breakup at unity gain.

Catalinbread Adineko Mountain Edition Oil Can Delay Guitar Effects Pedal
- BALANCE: Original units had a short and long echo playback head selectable by a pair of slider switches or a rotary switch that allowed the user to select one or the other, or both on at the same time. We expanded upon on this concept by putting the playback heads on a continuous mixer, allowing accents and new rhythmic possibilities by favoring one head volume over the other.
- BLEND: This control allows you mix between 100% wet and 100% dry signals. The original units featured tube preamp stages, the ADINEKO’s preamp stages are tuned to provide very much the same experience as a healthy example of an original unit.
- TIMING: A majority of original oil can units have a fixed rotation speed hence a fixed delay time and fixed vibrato time (there were models with a mechanical motor brake to slow it down), however the actual maximum delay time was very short from 80-120ms. The ADINEKO extends your modulated delay time up to one second.
