om-system-ufl-3-underwater-flash-with-ttl-and-rc-wireless-control-75m
OM System UFL-3 Underwater Flash with TTL and RC Wireless Control, 75m

Water absorbs red light within the first few meters, so a dedicated strobe is the single biggest upgrade for color and contrast in underwater photos. The UFL-3 is a compact Olympus underwater flash with a guide number of 22, a 5400K color temperature and coverage matching a 24mm (35mm-equivalent) lens, waterproof on its own to 75 m (246 ft).

It connects to compatible Olympus housings such as the PT-059 through a fiber-optic cable, supporting TTL auto exposure as well as manual output set on the light level dial, plus RC wireless modes and a slave mode for multi-flash setups. A built-in target light helps with aiming and focusing in dark water, and a clip-on diffuser widens and softens the light for wide-angle scenes.

Four AA alkaline or NiMH cells power it, delivering roughly 240 flashes per set on alkalines or about 330 on 1900 mAh NiMH, with full-power recycling in about 2.6 or 1.9 seconds respectively. At approximately 465 g without batteries and only about 10 g of weight in the water once loaded, it balances well on a short arm, and the arm mount knob, silicone grease and O-ring remover needed for setup and maintenance come in the box.

Features

Guide number 22 with 24mm-equivalent coverage

Waterproof to 75 m (246 ft)

TTL and manual flash modes, plus RC wireless and slave operation

Fiber-optic connection to compatible Olympus underwater housings

Built-in target light for aiming and focusing

Included diffuser for softer, wider light

Runs on four AA alkaline or NiMH batteries

Technical Specifications

Guide number: 22 (land, full output)

Coverage: Equivalent to 24mm lens (35mm equivalent, on land)

Flash modes: TTL, Manual; RC and slave operation supported

Color temperature: 5400K

Waterproofing: 75 m (246 ft)

Recycle time (full): Approx. 2.6 s alkaline, approx. 1.9 s NiMH (1900 mAh)

Flashes per set: Approx. 240 alkaline, approx. 330 NiMH (1900 mAh)

Power: 4 x AA alkaline or NiMH batteries (not included)

Connection: Fiber-optic cable socket (PTCB-E02 cable sold separately)

Operating temperature: 0 to 40 C (32 to 104 F)

Dimensions: 69 x 109 x 133 mm (2.7 x 4.3 x 5.2 in), excluding protrusions

Weight: Approx. 465 g without batteries; approx. 10 g underwater with batteries

What's Included

UFL-3 electronic flash

Diffuser

Diffuser strap

Arm mount knob

Silicone grease

O-ring remover

Instruction manual

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0630/3085/3829/files/1-om-system-v6320120u000_328aa9c2-d96e-410d-882c-f3275e17cf07.jpg?v=1791583390
