Its movable arm and pad let players configure the support position, while the centrally mounted design keeps the rest clear of the instrument's back. Detachable components simplify storage between practice sessions and performances.

Violinists can select this option when seeking an adjustable shoulder rest for a full-size violin with a compatible barrel-style chinrest. Pad height, rotation, and tilt help establish a preferred playing position. For a personalized violin shoulder support setup, adjust the arm and pad together. The removable components also suit players seeking a shoulder rest for case transport that retains its established settings when reassembled.

Wittner manufactures the Isny in Germany and documents installation through traditional chinrest barrels, the threaded fasteners that secure the chinrest. Correct fit depends on compatible hardware and sufficient clearance around the instrument. Wittner recommends mounting by an experienced luthier, a specialist who builds and repairs string instruments. Check the attachment and locking mechanisms whenever the support is reassembled.

Key Features

Selected 4/4 Size: Focus your setup on the requested full-size violin application.

Barrel Chinrest Mount: Attach the support through compatible traditional chinrest hardware.

Adjustable Pad Position: Configure height, rotation, and tilt to suit your playing posture.

Central Mounting: Position the support through a centrally located base.

Back Clearance: Keep the shoulder support from contacting the instrument's back when correctly installed.

Detachable Arm and Pad: Separate the components for convenient storage and transport.

Repeatable Setup: Reassemble the support while retaining previously established settings.

Technical Specifications

Brand: Wittner

Model: Isny

Product Type: Violin shoulder rest

Selected Instrument Size: 4/4

Mounting Configuration: Compatible barrel-style chinrest attachment

Base Position: Central mounting

Adjustment: Pad height, position, rotation, and tilt

Transport Configuration: Detachable shoulder rest arm and pad

Setup Retention: Established position retained after reassembly

Country of Manufacture: Germany

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0630/3085/3829/files/1-wittner-srvwtb_529023d0-7f45-47c9-a14c-53b3092ad5a2.jpg?v=1792003264
