Each string has a separate screw control for pitch adjustment. A nylon tailgut, the attachment that anchors the tailpiece, connects the assembly to the instrument's lower mounting point.

Violists and repair specialists can select this fitting when planning a viola tailpiece replacement with a traditional wood-colored appearance. The integrated adjusters provide individual string controls within one assembly. For a viola tailpiece with fine tuners, assess instrument size and the existing mounting arrangement together. This rosewood-look option suits players seeking composite tuning hardware for the specified instrument sizes.

Wittner manufactures the Ultra in Germany and describes its body as composite rather than solid wood. The rosewood color identifies the appearance, while black adjustment screws provide the tuning controls. A luthier, a specialist who builds and repairs string instruments, can assess tailgut length and tailpiece clearance. Correct installation considers the bridge, attachment position, and surrounding fittings as part of the complete viola setup.

Key Features

Selected Viola Sizes: Choose the requested option for compatible 15.5-inch and 16-inch instruments.

Rosewood-Look Plastic: Add a traditional wood-colored appearance with a composite tailpiece body.

Four Integrated Fine Tuners: Adjust each string's pitch through a separate screw control.

Black Adjustment Screws: Use individual tuning controls incorporated into the assembly.

Nylon Tailgut: Anchor the tailpiece through the manufacturer-specified nylon attachment.

Technical Specifications

Brand: Wittner

Product Line: Ultra

Product Type: Viola tailpiece with fine tuners

Selected Instrument Sizes: 15.5-inch and 16-inch violas

Style: Rosewood-look plastic

Body Material: Plastic composite

Color: Rosewood-colored

String Adjusters: 4 integrated fine tuners

Adjustment Screw Color: Black

Tailgut Material: Nylon

Country of Manufacture: Germany

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0630/3085/3829/files/1-wittner-tplwp1512r_8cc2d8f6-384d-4438-bc74-eac6da3923e4.jpg?v=1792003300
https://avlgear.com/products/wittner-tplwp1512r-ultra-155-16-viola-tailpiece-rosewood-look-fine-tuners
