The Audac ARJ03P Junction Box is a versatile junction box designed for connecting and splitting twisted pair based databuses that use RJ45 connectors. It is commonly used in applications where multiple input and/or output devices need to be connected to a single peripheral port on a matrix system, such as expanding communication and audio transferring busses. Additionally, it can be used to apply an external power supply to a communication bus when the transferred supply voltage is insufficient due to long cable lengths.

This junction box features three RJ45 connectors: a 'BUS IN' and 'BUS OUT' connector for making incoming and outgoing connections, and a third connector for connecting the remote in- or output module. To ensure clear communication without reflections, two termination jumpers are provided for terminating the communication (Pin4 & Pin5) and audio (Pin7 & Pin8) pairs at their characteristic impedance of 120 Ohm. Furthermore, there is a terminal block connector for connecting an external power supply (+24 V DC) to the bus, with the +24 V DC available on RJ45 Pin3 (+) and Pin6 (GND). The junction box is housed in an unbreakable plastic casing, making it easy to mount on Mini DIN rails.
