The Audac POW2 Power Amplifier Kit is an optional power amplifier kit that can be installed within the R2 and M2 Multi-Zone Digital Audio Matrix housing. By default, the R2 or M2 is equipped with 8 line level output channels that can be connected to suitable amplifiers based on the power requirements of the specific application. However, for certain applications that do not require large power capacities, the optional power amplifier kit can be installed, resulting in a single housing that combines both a multifunctional matrix and power amplifier.
The POW2 comprises a 16 channel (8 Stereo channel) Class-D amplifier, capable of delivering 60 Watts of power to each channel at 4 Ohm. In bridge mode, it can provide an output power of 8 x 120 Watts at 8 Ohm. It is equipped with an advanced protection circuit that safeguards against DC malfunctioning, short circuit, overheating, and overload. Additionally, a large heatsink and speed controlled ventilation fan ensure that the amplifier operates at an optimal temperature. The POW2 power amplifier kit includes the power amplifier module, a switching power supply, and all the necessary connection and installation accessories required for proper installation within the R2 or M2's housing. It is important to note that the POW2 replaces the older R2POW model, which offered similar functionality and performance.
