Lowell PR8-1624 Rough-In Bridge for Speaker Installation
A rough-in bridge is mounted to the structural members of a ceiling (or wall) before drywall is installed, in order to reserve space for a recessed loudspeaker. The PR8-1624 steel bridge features a half-inch protruding lip which the drywaller has to cut around, leaving a hole for speaker installation. The PR8-1624 provides an economical solution for applications where ceiling (or wall) depth is insufficient for a backbox, or where a backbox is not required by code. It can also be used with a backbox (order separately).
