The DIGITAL FORECAST UHD M_OTR TX/RX is a micro-compact 12G-SDI optic extender pair designed to convert a 12G-SDI signal to optical for reliable, long-range transmission over LC single mode fiber. It’s built for professional video workflows where maintaining signal integrity over distance is critical, including UHD/4K SDI transport in studio, OB, and installed environments.
Using a single-core (single LC fiber strand) approach, this 12G-SDI over fiber extender set supports runs up to 10 km and includes the required 12G SFP module. With a 12G-SDI input plus loop out on the TX and dual 12G-SDI outputs on the RX, it integrates cleanly into routing, monitoring, and distribution setups while keeping the footprint small and power draw low.
