The Audio-Technica VM530EN steps the VM500 premium moving magnet series up to a nude elliptical stylus — a solid diamond tip mounted directly to the aluminum cantilever with no bonding pellet in between. The lower tip mass tracks the groove more nimbly, translating into cleaner transients, sweeter highs, and more precise detail retrieval than bonded designs, making it a favorite sweet spot for listeners upgrading a serious vinyl front end.

The dual moving magnet generator uses para-toroidal coils to improve generating efficiency, while a center shield plate between the left and right channels reduces crosstalk for excellent stereo separation. A durable low-resonance polymer housing keeps mechanical noise out of the music.
