The EMG 35TW is a versatile bass pickup that offers two distinct tonal options within a single housing. Designed for 4-string bass guitars, it combines both single-coil and humbucker configurations, allowing musicians to switch seamlessly between a rich, warm tone and a big, aggressive sound with pronounced mid-range. This flexibility makes the 35TW suitable for a wide range of musical styles and playing techniques.

In single-coil mode, the 35TW utilizes EMG's JCS pickup, built with ceramic and steel magnets. This configuration delivers a warm and clear tone, ideal for genres that require precision and clarity. Switching to humbucker mode engages the CS (ceramic steel) dual-coil setup, providing a fuller, more aggressive sound with enhanced mid-range presence, perfect for rock and heavier music styles.

The transition between these tonal modes is facilitated by a push/pull pot, included in the package, allowing for quick and easy changes during performances. The pickup is housed in EMG's 35 Extended housing, measuring 3.5 inches (89mm), ensuring compatibility with standard 4-string bass guitars.
