It supports 3D video and lets integrators extend an HDMI source to a remotely located display using commonly installed category cabling.

EDID, or Extended Display Identification Data, management helps the source and display establish compatible video settings. PoC, or Power over Cable, can carry operating power through the category cable, reducing power connections at one end of the link.
