The EMG James Hetfield “Het” JH Sandblasted Set celebrates the 50th anniversary of EMG Pickups with a striking new finish and the crushing tone that made the JH pickups an instant classic. Featuring custom sandblasted stainless steel caps, this special edition gives guitars a distinctive industrial aesthetic while delivering the aggressive tone James Hetfield is known for.
Both pickups in the JH set were patterned after the pickups Hetfield used for over three decades, but refined into a completely new design. The JH-N neck pickup features larger ceramic poles and taller bobbins than a traditional EMG 60 for more output, stronger attack, and fuller low end. The JH-B bridge pickup uses steel pole pieces instead of bar magnets to deliver tight attack and improved clarity for heavy rhythm playing.
