The 511-POH-30W is a PoH compliant power inserter that can be used to power one end of an HDBaseT link. It passes the UTP signals across while at the same time injects 48v power for the PD (powered device). The supply complies with the IEEE 802.3af and will only apply power to the cable if a compliant device is connected. For example, you can use the power injector to power the UHBX-S-WP wall plate transmitter if the receiver does not supply power via the UTP cable. Some TVās and projectors have direct HDBaseT inputs (receiver is built in to the display), but may not be able to send power to the wall plate. So, to connect the Wall-plate transmitter to the display, the 511-POH-30W inserter can be utilized.
