Parasound NewClassic Series 200 Int 2.1 Integrated Amplifier & DAC | 110W x 2 Channels
The Parasound NewClassic 200 Int is a 2.1 integrated amplifier and DAC that consolidates preamplification, power amplification, phono input, and digital audio conversion into a single compact chassis. Rated at 160W per channel into 8 ohms and 240W per channel into 4 ohms, it is well-suited to a primary listening room or a dedicated stereo system where simplicity of setup is valued without sacrificing output capability.
The 200 Int integrates a Burr-Brown PCM1798 DAC supporting up to 192kHz/24-bit audio over optical and coaxial inputs, and 96kHz/24-bit over USB. A built-in phono stage accommodates both MM cartridges at 40 dB/47k ohm and MC cartridges at 50 dB/100 ohm. The 2.1 architecture includes high and low pass crossover filtering at 12 dB per octave. An external 12V trigger input is provided. Net weight is 11.5 lbs, and the unit measures 17.25 x 5.25 x 16.25 inches.
