This microphone features a premium build with a 2.5 micron, 24-karat gold-layered, low-mass Mylar diaphragm that offers superior transient response. Its Class A, discrete, transformerless preamplifier ensures transparency and minimizes harmonic and intermodulation distortion, providing an exceptionally clean and uncolored sound. Additionally, the internal and external connectors are gold-plated, enhancing signal quality and longevity.
The KSM141/SL also includes a subsonic filter to eliminate low-frequency rumble caused by mechanical vibrations and a three-position switchable pad that allows handling of extremely high sound pressure levels. A three-position switchable low-frequency filter reduces background noise and counteracts proximity effect, further expanding its versatility in different recording environments.
