The SD-1W features dual sound modes accessible via a front-panel toggle switch. Standard mode preserves the classic SD-1 tone that players have trusted for decades, faithfully reproducing the warm asymmetrical clipping character and mid-focused overdrive of the original circuit. Custom mode expands beyond the classic design, widening the tonal range and gain structure for more versatility while retaining the organic, touch-sensitive feel that defines great overdrive pedals. In both modes, the SD-1W is highly responsive to picking dynamics and guitar volume changes.
