Roland SPD-SX 9-Pad Sampling Workstation
The SPD-SX sampling pad delivers 16GB of internal memory — approximately 25 hours stereo or 50 hours mono recording capacity — enabling producers to build expansive sound libraries directly on the instrument. With 9 velocity-sensitive rubber pads fitted with LED indicators, up to 10,000 wave files organized across 100 custom kits, and 8 Kit Chains, the SPD-SX handles complex multi-layer compositions and live beat-making.
Three independent effect engines — Master (21 types), Kit 1 (20 types), and Kit 2 (20 types) — plus integrated EQ and 20-voice polyphony enable sophisticated tone shaping. Hi-Speed USB connectivity handles simultaneous MIDI, audio, and mass storage access, while the USB Memory port enables direct wave file import without a computer.
The SPD-SX integrates stereo main and sub outputs plus stereo audio input, supporting hybrid workflows. A 128x64 backlit LCD guides editing, and AC-powered operation ensures stable performance during extended sessions.
