NUX Time Core Deluxe MKII Delay Guitar Effects Pedal
Seven studio-grade delay engines, a stereo phrase looper and flexible bypass options—packed into a rugged, pedalboard-friendly enclosure.
Key Features & Benefits
- Seven independent delay algorithms—from crystalline Φ Digital to warm Analog and atmospheric Reverse—cover every style and era.
- Smart tap tempo & subdivisions set precise repeats in real time, with delay times up to 1,500 ms for expansive soundscapes.
- 40-second stereo phrase looper (Sound-on-Sound) turns the pedal into a self-contained layering workstation.
- Stereo I/O architecture preserves imaging for wet/dry rigs, dual amps or DAW recording setups.
- Three-mode bypass switch selects true bypass (no trails), buffered bypass with trails, or Tone Lock to prevent accidental knob bumps.
- USB-C port enables firmware updates and future feature expansions without opening the enclosure.
- Low current draw & standard 9 V DC (<120 mA) integrate easily with common pedalboard power supplies.
- Compact yet road-ready: cast-metal chassis, non-slip footswitch, and bright status LEDs for reliable stage use.
Overview
The NUX Time Core Deluxe MKII condenses an entire rack of delay processors into a single stompbox. Its TSAC-HD engine recreates bucket-brigade warmth, tape echo swirl and pristine digital repeats with equal authority, while the golden-ratio Φ Digital mode spaces the second repeat musically for effortless rhythmic ambience. A built-in stereo looper extends practice sessions and songwriting ideas without external gear.
Performance & Signal Path
Delay time can be dialled by knob or tap, then subdivided into straight, dotted-eighth or triplet feels. Trails can spill over naturally between patches, or be cut instantly for rhythmic stabs. The pedal’s stereo inputs and outputs let you place delays before or after stereo modulation, keeping your signal path flexible for modern wet-dry-wet setups.
Bypass & Tone Lock
A three-position toggle gives performers complete authority over how repeats behave when the effect is bypassed. True mode removes the circuit entirely; Buffer preserves signal over long cable runs while allowing trails; Tone Lock freezes every knob and switch so your finely tuned settings survive energetic footwork.
Looper Function
Engage the SOS looper for up to 40 seconds of stereo layering. The delay engine remains active, letting you overdub ambient textures, rhythmic patterns or reverse swells—all clock-accurate to the master tap tempo.
Controls & Connections
Four no-nonsense knobs—Mix, Time/Sub-div, Repeat, Type—plus dedicated footswitch and LED segment display keep operation intuitive on dark stages. Side-mounted stereo jacks conserve pedalboard width, while USB-C sits recessed for safe firmware updates.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I preserve delay trails when bypassing?
Yes—select the buffered bypass position and trails will decay naturally.
Does the pedal run on batteries?
No. External 9 V DC (centre-negative) supply is required.
Is the looper synced to tap tempo?
Loops record at the current tempo; all delay repeats remain clock-aligned to ensure tight layering.
Can subdivisions be changed while playing?
Absolutely. Rotate the Time/Sub-div knob or tap-tempo to morph rhythms mid-song.
Is firmware user-updatable?
Yes. Connect USB-C to a computer and run NUX’s free updater to load future enhancements.
