The AtlasIED CD42 is the industry’s only constant directivity re-entrant horn designed to deliver greatly improved uniform sound coverage compared to traditional conical horn designs. With a precisely controlled horizontal coverage pattern of 40° x 20° across a wide frequency range, the CD42 ensures predictable beamwidth control, making it ideal for high-intelligibility voice and signaling applications both indoors and outdoors.

Constructed from durable polyester resin and glass-fiber laminate integrally molded to a die-cast zinc throat section, the CD42 is built for rugged environments. It features the proven CJ46 style heavy-duty steel mounting bracket with a patented 180° gimbal mount, offering flexible horizontal and vertical positioning for single or stacked multi-unit clusters. The horn accepts all Atlas Sound and 1 3/8" - 18 thread compression drivers with 0.7-Inch diameter throat openings, with recommended drivers including the PD30, PD-5, and PD60 series.
