Its two 21-inch neodymium transducers are housed in a heavily reinforced sixth-order hybrid enclosure that combines the upper-bass impact of a short horn with the extended low-frequency performance of a vented cabinet. This powerful design delivers a frequency response of 23 Hz to 100 Hz and extends down to 21 Hz when used as a pair, producing bass that is deep, punchy, and capable of moving an immense amount of air.

A built-in 5,000-watt Class D amplifier provides substantial power for demanding program material, including large musical peaks and heavy low-frequency drops. The amplifier supplies 2,500 watts to each driver and supports a maximum sustained output of 140 dB at 3.28 feet in half-space, with peak output reaching 143 dB. The integrated 96 kHz digital signal processor includes eight pushbutton-accessible presets for quick system configuration, while ControlBASS software provides storage and recall for up to 100 presets. Operators can use ControlBASS on macOS or Windows computers to monitor, configure, tune, and recall system settings over a standard Ethernet network.

Built for repeated transport and production use, the Makara-MK3 features an enclosure constructed from CNC-machined 0.71-inch Baltic Birch plywood with dado joinery and extensive internal bracing. A waterproof, impact-resistant black polyurea coating helps protect the cabinet, while four steel bar handles support loading and positioning. Interlocking foot pockets provide stable multi-cabinet stacking, and multiple cabinets can be configured for omnidirectional or cardioid operation. Cardioid deployment uses the onboard DSP to manage polarity and delay, helping direct low-frequency energy toward the audience while reducing unwanted bass behind the system and on the stage.
