The Behringer ADA8200 is an eight channel ADAT audio interface designed for digital recording, studio expansion, and live audio production systems. It enables audio engineers and producers to expand the input and output capabilities of their digital audio workstation or digital mixer through optical ADAT connectivity. This makes it ideal for studio environments where additional microphone preamps and analog to digital conversion are required.
The interface provides eight Midas designed microphone preamplifiers with phantom power and high quality Cirrus Logic twenty four bit converters. It converts analog microphone or line signals to digital audio through the ADAT optical output and routes ADAT signals back to analog outputs for monitoring or signal routing.
In practical setups, the ADA8200 can expand the input count of audio interfaces, digital mixers, and recording systems. External clock synchronization and ADAT connectivity allow it to integrate into a wide variety of studio and live recording workflows.
