Description
Yamaha EAD50 Electronic Acoustic Drum Microphone System
The Yamaha EAD50 professional-grade electronic acoustic drum microphone system captures your full acoustic drum kit in high-quality stereo and blends it with effects and sound sources for a flexible hybrid setup. Built for drummers who record, stream, and perform, it provides a streamlined way to shape your drum sound without complex mic setups. This system is designed to expand creative control for stage, studio, lessons, and content creation.
By attaching a dedicated sensor unit containing a special microphone and a trigger, the EAD50 delivers a balanced stereo image and reliable trigger response for layering electronic sounds in sync with acoustic playing. It features eight balanced outputs for routing drum and effect channels separately, plus balanced XLR master outputs for clean, noise-resistant connections to a PA. The EAD50 also supports external microphones through a Neutrik XLR/TRS combo jack with +48V phantom power on the XLR input for mic sources.
For modern workflows, the EAD50 functions as an 8-in/10-out USB audio interface for multitrack recording and playback when connected to a computer and DAW. Wireless control and scene management are available through the EAD Touch app via Bluetooth MIDI or a USB-C connection, and Rec’n’Share helps create and share performance videos from a mobile device. With studio-level processing including reverb, delay, modulation and compression, the EAD50 provides reliable, performance-ready sound shaping in a compact system.
