Seymour Duncan APH-2N Slash Neck Humbucker Zebra 4-Conductor

Slash is known for some of the most iconic riffs, licks and solos in rock ’n’ roll. To capture the ferocious tone heard on his records with Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver and his solo projects, Slash and Seymour Duncan collaborated to create his signature humbucker sets, including this APH-2N neck pickup. Based on the original Alnico 2 Pro humbuckers he relied on for decades, this model is voiced to deliver that familiar sustain, crunch and focused midrange character.

When Slash’s Gibson Les Paul Signature models were developed, Seymour Duncan refined the original recipe with a different magnet wire and winding spec paired with an Alnico 2 bar magnet. The result is a neck humbucker that pushes a stock Les Paul closer to the feel and response of Slash’s original Derrig Les Paul copy, with singing sustain and a powerful yet musical midrange that sits perfectly in a rock mix.

Hand built in Santa Barbara to the same standards as the original 1980s pickups, this zebra APH-2N uses a nickel silver bottom plate, maple spacer, paper tape and wax potting for reliability on stage and in the studio. Modern updates include Short Ear (SE) mounting legs for a wider range of guitar fits and a 4-conductor cable, giving you access to coil-splitting, series/parallel wiring and phase options for versatile Slash-inspired tones.
