Using carefully selected Alnico 2 bar magnets, custom magnet wire, and a refined winding recipe, these passive humbuckers push a stock guitar toward a thick, singing lead voice and rich, harmonically complex chords. Hand-built in Santa Barbara, California, with classic construction and modern wiring flexibility, this APH-2S set is the same spec used in Slash’s own touring and recording guitars.

Traditional materials such as a nickel-silver baseplate, maple spacer, paper tape, and wax potting provide vintage character and stability, while short-leg mounting and 4-conductor cabling make these pickups a drop-in solution for a wide range of instruments and advanced wiring schemes.
