Slash 2.0 Neck Humbucker Overview
Slash is known for delivering some of the most iconic riffs, licks, and solos in rock ’n’ roll. To capture the ferocious tone heard on his work with Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver, and his solo projects, Slash teamed up with Seymour Duncan to create his signature humbucker sets, including the Slash 2.0. Originally offered with vintage-style specifications like long mounting legs, single-conductor braided cable, and traditional humbucker spacing, this updated version adds modern installation and wiring options while preserving the tonal character Slash depends on.
The Slash 2.0 Neck humbucker is based on his beloved APH-2 pickups but wound hotter for live applications. Over multiple world tours with Guns N’ Roses and Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Slash needed the same tonality and clarity as his original set—just “hotter.” This pickup delivers that familiar voice while pushing your amp with the ideal blend of volume, drive, and compression, making it a powerful yet musical choice for rock-focused rigs.
