Blackmagic Design StudioBridge 100G SMPTE 2110 Redundant 100G IP Bridge

The Blackmagic Design StudioBridge 100G is a 1RU broadcast IP bridge that connects a single 100G Ethernet SMPTE ST 2110 stream into a fully redundant dual 100G Ethernet broadcast system. Built for studios, OB trucks, and central facilities transitioning to all-IP infrastructure, it delivers ST 2022-7 hitless protection switching across two 100G QSFP28 network connections so high-bandwidth camera feeds stay on air without interruption. Two additional 100G QSFP28 camera connections can be combined when total bandwidth stays under 100 Gb/s, letting you interface high-resolution cameras such as the URSA Cine 12K 100G directly into a redundant 2110 network.

Engineered for modern uncompressed IP workflows, the StudioBridge 100G fully supports SMPTE ST 2110-20, ST 2110-21, ST 2110-30, and ST 2110-40, with NMOS IS-04 discovery, IS-05 connection management, and PTP IEEE 1588-2008 (ST 2059) timing for seamless integration into standards-based broadcast networks. It carries 16 channels of embedded audio on each 2110 video stream over both 100G and 10G Ethernet, and automatically detects HD, Ultra HD, and 4K formats at 10-bit 4:2:2 in Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 color.

A separate 10G Ethernet channel with dual SFP optical fiber and dual RJ45 connections supports up to eight Ultra HD or HD senders and receivers per 100G pair, while a dedicated 1G RJ45 control port handles NMOS control, configuration, and software updates. A front-panel 2.2-inch LCD with a three-button control panel and spin knob lets operators scrub between inputs and monitor video, audio, format, and timecode at a glance. Dual internal 100-240V power supplies with two IEC C14 inputs provide redundant power for mission-critical, round-the-clock broadcast operation.
