The Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF Body is a large-format digital film camera built around a 36 x 24mm full-frame RGBW sensor delivering an enormous 12,288 x 8,040 native resolution and 16 stops of dynamic range. This body-only configuration is designed for productions and rental houses that already own cinema accessories, stripping away the bundled handles, shoulder mount, battery plate, power supply, and 8TB high-capacity media module to deliver the full imaging power of the URSA Cine platform at a dramatically lower entry price. The result is a no-compromise 12K acquisition tool that captures gorgeous, organic images with Blackmagic Generation 5 Color Science and a new film curve, ready to be configured exactly to a crew's existing rig.
Engineered for demanding high-resolution workflows, the camera shoots up to 80 fps in full 12K, 144 fps at 8K, and 240 fps at 4K, recording Blackmagic RAW directly to the included CFexpress media module with dual card slots. An interchangeable locking EF lens mount ships installed, with PL, LPL, and other mounts available separately, and button-activated built-in ND filters (clear, 2, 4, and 6 stop with IR) speed up exposure control on set. A built-in 5-inch HDR touchscreen assist station, industry-standard Lemo and Fischer connections, and 12G-SDI outputs make the URSA Cine 12K LF Body a production-ready cinema camera straight out of the case.
Network-first by design, the URSA Cine 12K LF Body features high-speed 10G Ethernet and Wi-Fi for fast media offload and syncing to Blackmagic Cloud, enabling collaborative editing and global sync of footage. Every camera includes a full DaVinci Resolve Studio license, giving editors and colorists a complete post-production pipeline.
