Roland V-160HD SDI/HDMI Streaming Video Switcher
The Roland V-160HD Streaming Video Switcher is a professional hybrid event production switcher built for live events, livestreaming, broadcast workflows, corporate AV, houses of worship, education, performance venues, and multi-camera productions. Designed to bring together in-person presentation and online streaming in one compact hardware platform, the V-160HD gives operators extensive SDI and HDMI connectivity, powerful video effects, USB-C streaming, integrated audio mixing, remote camera control, and show automation tools for demanding productions.
With 16 total video channels, the V-160HD supports eight 3G-SDI inputs and eight HDMI inputs for mixing cameras, computers, media players, presentation systems, and other Full HD sources. Built-in frame rate conversion helps manage mixed video sources, while four HDMI inputs include real-time scalers for connecting devices with different formats and resolutions. Seven total outputs across SDI, HDMI, and USB-C streaming allow the switcher to feed program displays, preview monitors, multi-view screens, auxiliary destinations, recording devices, and online audiences at the same time.
The V-160HD also includes an eight-layer video effects engine for polished, professional productions. Operators can use picture-in-picture, luminance key, chroma key, downstream keying, alpha keying, Roland FILL+KEY mode, still image playback, still image capture, output fade, test pattern output, and multiple transition styles. The internal still store supports up to 16 image files, including BMP, PNG, and JPEG formats, with PNG alpha channel support for graphics and overlays.
For audio, the Roland V-160HD features a 40-channel digital audio mixer with 24-bit/48 kHz processing and extensive tools for managing microphones, embedded HDMI audio, embedded SDI audio, USB streaming audio, RCA sources, and Bluetooth audio. Channel effects include high pass filter, echo canceller, anti-feedback, noise gate, de-esser, compressor, 3-band EQ, voice changer, delay, and auto mixing, while master effects include reverb, multi-band compression, loudness auto gain control, adaptive noise reduction, limiter, and more.
Advanced production control features make the V-160HD a strong solution for live operators who need speed, reliability, and repeatability. Preset memories, macros, sequencer control, auto switching, auto input detect, Smart Tally, external recording control, remote camera control for up to 16 units, and multiple control options through Bluetooth, USB, RS-232, LAN, CTL/EXP, and TALLY/GPIO provide the flexibility needed for modern professional video production.
