The RDL RU-NMP44 4 x 4 Networking Mixer Processor serves as a network mixing processor with six virtual audio mixers that are controlled via network commands from RDL and other network remote controls. Each mixer functions independently, allowing for signal attenuation from unity to off. Additionally, the output level from each mixer can be adjusted individually from unity to off. Depending on the commands received by the RU-NMP44, each mixer can be utilized as a mixer, a source selector, a priority paging inserter, and/or as a volume control.

Four of the mixers' outputs drive corresponding network audio channels, while the outputs from the remaining two mixers power line-level +4 dBu audio outputs.
Configuration of the RU-NMP44 is managed through RDL CONSOLE or other network control software.
When implementing ducking, one of the four network audio inputs is assigned as the priority input, connected to all six virtual mixers. An audio detector, with a threshold and recovery delay defined by the installer, can be allocated to one, several, or all of the six mixers. For each of these mixers, the priority input is set to a specific level, and the other three inputs are adjusted to attenuate to a fixed level between -10 and -64 dB upon detecting a message on the priority input. If hum is expected from the paging source, one of four high-pass filters may be activated.

The RU-NMP44 can store up to four preset configurations, each defining any or all mixer level settings.
Activation of a preset can be triggered by network commands, RDL network or wired remote controls, a momentary switch closure, or a compatible open-collector from other equipment.
The RU-NMP44 can be powered by an external 24 Vdc power supply or a PoE enabled network switch. In case both power sources are available, the unit will operate from the external supply and seamlessly switch to PoE power if the external supply fails.

Suitable for enhancing volume control, mixing, switching, and ducking in existing network audio systems, the RU-NMP44's digital signal processing capabilities meet various audio system design needs in environments like classrooms, meeting rooms, restaurants/bars, fitness gyms, and retail stores.
Engineered in the U.S.A., the RU-NMP44 is housed in a robust, all-metal enclosure suitable for free-standing, surface-mounted, or rack-mounted use, designed to withstand continuous operation in demanding installations. Built for durability and superior performance, the RU-NMP44 is a valuable asset in commercial networked audio systems.

Key Features
