Camera hops are the classic use for this cable: an XLR mixer output going to a Lectrosonics transmitter. The CALECXL3/5L runs 18 in from an XLR3 female connector to a TA5F and contains a 22k inline resistor for more headroom at line level.

Plug the XLR end into a mixer or recorder output and the TA5F into a Lectrosonics bodypack or plug-in transmitter to send the mix to camera or to a monitoring receiver. It is BDS compatible for Remote Audio power distribution setups.
