The 5600 series fire detectors are designed to offer flexibility, performance, and ease of installation for a wide range of applications. Available in both single and dual-circuit models, these detectors provide multiple configuration options to meet the needs of various fire detection requirements. The 5600 series offers both low- and high-temperature ratings, ensuring reliable operation in a variety of environments. The detectors come with either fixed temperature or combination fixed temperature/rate-of-rise (ROR) activation methods. Additionally, the ROR element in the combination models is restorable, allowing for convenient field testing without the need for replacement.
Installation is made simple and flexible with the 5600 series, which can be easily mounted on single-gang and octagonal back boxes. The detectors are also compatible with four-square back boxes when used with a square-to-round plaster ring. A reversible mounting bracket ensures that these detectors can be flush- or surface-mounted, offering greater versatility to accommodate different installation requirements.
For ease of identification, the 5600 series is clearly marked with alphanumeric characters that indicate the activation method and temperature rating in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. Fixed temperature models are marked as FX, while combination fixed temperature/rate-of-rise models are designated FX/ROR. Additionally, each detector features a post-activation indicator in the form of a collector that drops from the unit when activated, making it easy to identify an alarmed unit at a glance.
