With a nominal 3.8 V output and reusable design, it replaces disposable AA batteries in supported EW-D, EW-DX, and EW-DP components while providing predictable runtime for professional wireless audio applications.

For live sound, corporate AV, filmmaking, education, and installed wireless systems, the BA 70 simplifies battery management across compatible transmitters and receivers. Supported EW-D and EW-DX transmitters can achieve approximately 12 hours of operation, while the EW-DP EK portable receiver runs for up to seven hours. Its compact format also makes spare batteries easy to rotate during long production days.

The battery reaches a full charge in approximately three hours at room temperature and works with Sennheiser charging solutions including the L 70 USB. Current Sennheiser documentation also supports BA 70 charging through the CHG 70N-C and the L 6000 charger when equipped with an LM 6070 module.
