Built as a hotter version of his beloved APH-2s, the Slash 2.0 set keeps the same tonal DNA – rich mids, singing sustain, and articulate clarity – but adds extra output to push your amp harder. Across multiple world tours with Guns N’ Roses and Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Slash relied on this hotter wind for the perfect balance of volume, drive, and compression on stage.
Each Slash 2.0 humbucker in this set is hand built in Santa Barbara, California, using traditional Seymour Duncan construction methods from the ’80s: nickel silver bottom plates with long mounting legs, maple spacers, paper tape, and thorough wax potting for stability and feedback control. With its Alnico 2 rough cast magnets and carefully tuned DCR values, this passive humbucker set is tailor-made for expressive lead work, crunchy rhythm playing, and authentic Slash-inspired rock tones.
