Slash Signature Bridge Humbucker Overview
Capture the ferocious tone of Slash's legendary Les Paul with the Seymour Duncan Slash APH-2B Bridge Trembucker in gold. Developed in close collaboration with Slash, this signature humbucker is voiced to deliver the sustain, crunch, and midrange character that defined his iconic sounds with Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver, and his solo projects.
Originally based on the Alnico 2 Pro humbuckers Slash has relied on for decades, this pickup uses a different magnet wire and winding spec combined with an Alnico 2 bar magnet to push a stock Les Paul toward the familiar, singing overdrive of his original AFD-era guitar. The result is a responsive, expressive bridge pickup that stays articulate under gain while retaining warmth and clarity.
Each Slash APH-2 humbucker is hand built in Santa Barbara, California, using traditional construction methods: a nickel silver bottom plate with long mounting legs, single-conductor braided lead wire, maple spacer, paper tape, and wax potting for controlled feedback. This Trembucker-equipped bridge model is spaced to perfectly align with the strings on guitars with Floyd Rose style locking tremolo bridges, vintage six-screw Fender tremolos, or modern two-point fulcrum tremolo systems, making it an ideal choice for players who need Slash’s signature tone on tremolo-equipped instruments.
