Sharp XP-V731U-W 7300-Lumen WUXGA 3LCD Laser Projector - White

The Sharp XP-V731U-W 7300-Lumen WUXGA 3LCD Laser Projector is a professional installation projector designed for high-brightness presentations and large-format visual displays. Combining 7,300 lumens of brightness, native 1920 x 1200 resolution, and laser illumination, it delivers detailed images for educational facilities, corporate environments, houses of worship, museums, and professional AV installations.

Engineered for applications requiring powerful projection and flexible installation, the XP-V731U-W features a 3LCD imaging system with a 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and support for 4K input signals. Its laser light source provides up to 20,000 hours of operation, reducing the frequency of light-source maintenance associated with conventional lamp-based projectors. Five optional interchangeable projection lenses accommodate ultra-short, short, standard, and long-throw configurations. Motorized lens adjustment, geometric correction, and edge blending make this professional laser installation projector suitable for complex projection environments and multi-projector displays.

Designed for integration into professional AV systems, the Sharp XP-V731U-W includes dual HDMI 2.0 inputs, HDBaseT connectivity, network control, and RS-232 communication. Compatibility with Crestron, Extron, AMX, and PJLink simplifies integration with existing control infrastructure. The projector also supports portrait and 360-degree installation orientations, providing additional flexibility for digital signage and specialized display applications. Its white cabinet complements architectural installations, while Sharp's ProAssist software supports projection alignment and system configuration. A compatible projection lens must be purchased separately.

Key Features

High-Brightness WUXGA Projection for Professional Environments

The Sharp XP-V731U-W combines a laser-phosphor light source with three-panel LCD imaging technology to support demanding projection applications. Its native WUXGA resolution provides additional vertical image space compared with standard Full HD, making it useful for presentations, technical drawings, detailed graphics, and other information-rich content.

The projector delivers 7,300 lumens of typical brightness and up to 7,600 lumens at the center of the projected image. A dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 helps distinguish bright image elements from darker content, while 10-bit color processing supports smooth tonal transitions.

Although the projector accepts compatible 4K video signals, its native imaging resolution remains 1920 x 1200. Incoming higher-resolution signals are processed for display at the projector's native resolution.

Laser Illumination and Long-Term Reliability

The integrated laser-phosphor light source provides a rated operating life of up to 20,000 hours. Unlike conventional lamp-based projection systems, the laser illumination system does not require periodic lamp replacement.

Adjustable light output allows installers to balance brightness requirements with operating conditions. Quick startup and shutdown capabilities support environments where projection equipment must be activated and deactivated throughout the day.

The projector operates at approximately 40 dB in normal mode and 31 dB in ECO mode, offering a quieter operating configuration for meeting rooms and presentation spaces.

Five Optional Projection Lenses for Flexible Installation

The XP-V731U-W supports five interchangeable projection lenses, allowing system designers to select an appropriate optical configuration for the installation environment. Available options accommodate ultra-short-throw applications, conventional projection distances, and long-throw installations.

Compatible lens options include the XP-44ML ultra-short-throw lens, XP-50ZL short-throw zoom lens, XP-40ZL zoom lens, XP-41ZL standard zoom lens, and XP-43ZL long-throw zoom lens.

Motorized lens adjustment provides remote control of focus, zoom, and image positioning with compatible lenses. Lens memory functionality allows configured settings to be recalled when needed.

Important: The XP-V731U-W is supplied without a projection lens. A compatible lens must be purchased separately before the projector can display an image.

Advanced Geometric Correction and Multi-Projector Support

Professional installation environments frequently require projection onto challenging surfaces or the combination of images from multiple projectors. The XP-V731U-W includes geometric correction tools that help installers adjust image geometry for accurate alignment.

Edge blending supports the combination of adjacent projected images into a larger visual presentation. The projector also supports stacking configurations for installations requiring multiple synchronized projection units.

Its roll-free installation capability allows flexible horizontal orientation, while tilt-free operation supports vertical positioning. These options make the projector suitable for specialized digital signage, portrait presentations, and architectural projection installations.

HDBaseT, HDMI, and Network Connectivity

Two HDMI 2.0 inputs provide direct digital video connections for computers, media players, and compatible professional AV equipment. HDBaseT connectivity supports the transmission of digital video, audio, Ethernet, and control signals through a compatible transmission system.

Dedicated network connectivity allows integration into managed AV environments. RS-232 communication and compatibility with Crestron, Extron, AMX, and PJLink provide additional control options for automation systems.

Sharp's ProAssist software supports professional projector configuration and alignment, while NaViSet Administrator 2 provides network-based management capabilities for compatible display systems.
