The TOA N‑8400RS is a high-performance IP network sub-station controller designed for seamless integration with TOA’s N‑8400 series intercom systems. This versatile controller supports up to 16 lines with both internal and external speech links, offering reliable half-duplex and full-duplex communication for medium to large facilities. Its robust design and advanced analog baseband transmission system provide clear voice transmission over long distances, making it ideal for offices, schools, factories, and commercial environments.

Equipped with a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX network interface, the N‑8400RS ensures smooth IP integration and supports TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, RTP, ARP, ICMP, and IGMP protocols. Audio packet transmission is available via unicast and multicast systems, enabling reception-only paging with high-quality voice. Voice sampling can be configured at 8 kHz or 16 kHz with 16-bit quantization, and Sub-band ADPCM encoding with optional cryptosystem ensures secure, reliable voice delivery even under packet loss conditions.

The N‑8400RS is designed for flexible installation. It can be mounted in a standard rack, placed on a desk, or surface-mounted using the included brackets. Constructed with a black pre-coated steel chassis and forced-air cooling, it is built for continuous operation. Its operational tolerances-from 32 °F to 104 °F and up to 90% relative humidity-ensure reliable performance in a variety of indoor settings.
