Wittner SRLWT Isny 4/4 Viola Shoulder Rest With Chinrest Clamps

Wittner Isny 4/4 Viola Shoulder Rest With Chinrest Clamps

The Wittner Isny Viola Shoulder Rest in size 4/4 provides adjustable shoulder support through a centrally mounted design. Its movable arm and adjustable pad help players configure the playing position, while the support stays clear of the instrument's back. Detachable components make the rest easier to pack between rehearsals, lessons, and performances.

For violists seeking an adjustable viola shoulder support, the Isny offers flexibility when establishing a comfortable instrument position. Players can change the pad's height, rotation, and tilt to suit their setup. This configurable support suits practice sessions, ensemble rehearsals, and stage use. The removable arm and pad also make it a practical shoulder rest for case transport, retaining the established settings when reassembled.

Wittner manufactures the Isny in Germany and provides assembly guidance for its mounting configurations. This 4/4 version supports a full-size viola setup, with options for compatible Wittner chinrests or use without a chinrest. Correct installation depends on the instrument and mounting hardware. Wittner recommends installation by an experienced luthier, a specialist who builds and repairs string instruments.
