The Wooden Camera Unified Baseplate is a quick-release support system for Sony FS5, Panasonic EVA1, VariCam LT, and VariCam 35 cameras, providing lightweight 15 mm rod alignment at the correct lens height while offering modular dovetail and accessory integration.
Its dual quick-release functionality allows you to remove the camera while leaving the rods behind—or remove the rods separately—offering fast, flexible reconfiguration between rig setups.
Key Features
- 15 mm LWS Rod Support: Rods pass through front-to-back, secured by two locking thumbscrews per side.
- Upper ARCA Dovetail: Compatible with ARCA-Swiss systems; includes mounting holes (1/4-20 & 3/8-16) and non-slip rubber surface to prevent twist.
- Upper Vertical Rod Port: Allows mounting of lens adapter support (e.g., Metabones EF adapter foot) via vertical 15 mm rod opening.
- Lower Quick Dovetail: Provides 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded mounting options for tripods, gimbals, or ARRI bridgeplates; includes ARRI dovetail interface once removed.
- Dual Quick-Release Action: Remove camera with or without rods by unlocking thumbscrews and sliding component backward.
- VCT-14 Compatibility: Works with Unified VCT Wedge Plate and Tripod Plate for shoulder counterbalance setups.
- Backward Compatibility: Integrates with Wooden Camera’s original Quick Dovetail systems (Standard, DSLR, Large).
- Included Hardware: (2) 1/4-20 low profile screws; (2) 3/8-16 low profile screws.
