Warm Audio JUDE-MP2 Stereo Dual-Channel Microphone Preamp

Stereo pairs, drum overheads and dual-mono tracking all get the same console lineage with the Warm Audio JUDE-MP2, a two-channel, 1U rackmount version of the Sound Techniques A-Range preamp. Each channel runs its own dual-discrete 3035 Class A amplifier, custom CineMag transformers and hand-wired signal path, with 65 to 76 dB of gain available per side.

Both channels carry the nine-position Z-Match control, which changes the interaction between the microphone and the input stage to adjust gain, transient behavior, frequency response and headroom. Set the two sides identically for a matched stereo pair, or dial them independently when tracking two different sources. Every channel includes 48V phantom power, polarity inversion, line-level operation, a front-panel instrument input, stepped gain and its own analog VU meter.

Inside, three-impedance CineMag input transformers, high-purity nickel CineMag output transformers, Nichicon and Wima capacitors and carbon resistors make up the signal path. Balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS inputs and outputs on the rear connect to interfaces, converters and patchbays, and the switchable IEC power supply covers 115V and 230V operation.
