The Warm Audio JUDE-MP2 Stereo Microphone Preamp is a dual-channel, dual-discrete Class-A recording preamp based on the original Sound Techniques A-Range console circuit. Each channel combines a 3035 amplifier, custom CineMag transformers, and 9-position Z-Match impedance control with 65-76 dB of available microphone gain.

Built for stereo microphone pairs, drum overheads, piano, guitars, vocals, room microphones, and dual-mono tracking, the JUDE-MP2 gives each channel independent gain and impedance control. Z-Match changes the relationship between the connected microphone and input stage, affecting available gain, transient behavior, frequency response, headroom, and tonal character across different microphone designs.

The hand-wired signal path uses custom three-impedance CineMag input transformers, high-purity nickel CineMag output transformers, Nichicon and Wima audio-grade capacitors, and carbon resistors. Each channel includes 48V phantom power, polarity inversion, line-level operation, a front instrument input, and analog VU metering. Balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS connections support integration with professional recording interfaces, converters, and studio patching systems.
