Description
AJA Ki Pro GO2 Multi-Channel Recorder/Player for HD/SD Production
The AJA Ki Pro GO2 is a portable, rack-friendly multi-channel recorder/player built for demanding live production and fast-turnaround workflows. Record up to four channels of simultaneous HD or SD video as standard .MP4 files using H.265 (HEVC) or H.264 (AVC), with flexible input mapping across SDI and HDMI sources. This makes it a strong fit for events, houses of worship, touring productions, corporate AV, and multi-camera shoots where reliable multi-source capture matters.
Designed for real-world setups, Ki Pro GO2 supports genlock-free operation thanks to built-in input frame synchronizers, allowing incoming sources that are not genlocked to be recorded together (multi-channel recording requires the same frame rate and resolution across inputs). Each input also includes high-quality de-interlacing so progressive recordings can be created from interlaced sources. For monitoring and confidence checks, matrix monitoring lets you view multiple channels on a single display, while Enhanced Super Out overlays timecode, media status, and audio meters on SDI/HDMI monitoring outputs.
For redundancy and collaboration, Ki Pro GO2 records to qualified USB media and/or SMB network storage, with user-selectable primary/backup destinations. This helps protect critical recordings and enables quick handoff to post-production or clients—without extra conversion steps.
Key Features of the Ki Pro GO2 Multi-Channel Recorder
- 4-Channel Simultaneous Recording: Record 1–4 channels of HD or SD up to 1080p 50/60 in H.265 or H.264 to .MP4 for broad software compatibility.
- Genlock-Free Inputs with Built-In Frame Syncs: Input frame synchronizers allow sources that are not genlocked, simplifying multi-camera and mixed-source setups.
- Dual-Format Connectivity: Flexible assignments across 4x 3G-SDI inputs and 4x HDMI inputs support professional and prosumer cameras, routers, and more.
- Redundant Recording Destinations: Record to USB and/or SMB network storage with selectable primary/backup mapping for reliable capture and immediate handoff workflows.
- Matrix Monitoring and Enhanced Super Out: View up to four channels on a single monitor and display overlays for timecode, media status, and audio levels via SDI/HDMI monitoring outputs.
- Audio Assignment Flexibility: Assign 2-channel embedded audio from SDI/HDMI or balanced XLR analog audio (mic/line/+48V) to any recording channel; optional LTC via analog input.
- Independent Per-Channel Quality Control: Five selectable VBR settings per channel (up to 15 Mbps H.265, up to 25 Mbps H.264) to balance quality and bandwidth needs.
- Multiple Control Options: Operate via front-panel transport controls and integrated LCD, or use the web UI for configuration, remote control, and network-based clip downloads.
