The Ampeg SVT-CL is a 300-watt tube bass amplifier head designed around a traditional all-tube amplification platform. A pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes feeds six 6550 power tubes, giving bassists a high-output head suited to professional stage, rehearsal, and touring systems built around compatible bass speaker cabinets.

Its control section combines a three-band EQ with a five-position midrange selector, giving players additional control over the frequencies that shape attack, body, and presence.
