The Audac OPT2 Optical Fiber Kit serves as a crucial component in the fiber interconnection interface designed specifically for the R2 and M2 Digital Multi-Zone & Multi-Media Matrix Systems. With this module, users can efficiently transfer up to 16 digital audio signals through a single fiber conductor, allowing for seamless communication over long distances. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to utilize a duplex 62.5 / 125 Āµm multimode glass fiber terminated with ST/PC connectors for connecting the devices together.
When setting up the system, it is essential to follow a closed loop principle for wiring, where the output of one device is linked to the input of the next device in the chain. This configuration ensures a continuous flow of data, with the last device providing feedback to the input of the first device. By cascading multiple devices (up to 15 pcs) through series linking, users can cover distances of up to 1000 meters between two devices, thanks to a specially developed protocol that guarantees accurate signal transmission at maximum speed and reliability.
The OPT2 package includes all the necessary software and accessories (excluding the fiber) required to control and configure the system effectively. Users can easily select the signals to be transferred and assign zones through the user-friendly interface of the system. For optimal performance, it is recommended to pair the OPT2 with the āPROCAB FBS125 Duplex Fiber Optic ST/PC to ST/PC 62.5/125Āµmā, which is compatible with various fiber types including 50/125 Ī¼m, 62.5/125 Ī¼m, 100/140 Ī¼m, and 200 Ī¼m HCSĀ® Fiber.
