The Audio-Technica AT-VM95E is a dual moving magnet (VM) phono cartridge that brings detailed, musical playback to any turntable with a standard half-inch mount. Part of Audio-Technica's acclaimed VM95 series, it pairs a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical bonded stylus with an aluminum cantilever to trace record grooves far more accurately than the conical cartridges bundled with most turntables, delivering improved high-frequency response, tighter tracking, and noticeably cleaner detail.
An ideal upgrade for entry-level and mid-range record players, the VM95E's elliptical stylus reads more of the groove's information for richer stereo imaging and reduced distortion. Its dual magnet design mirrors the geometry of a cutter head's two channels for excellent channel separation and balance, while the universal VM95 body lets you step up to finer styli (Microlinear, Shibata, Special Line Contact) later without replacing the cartridge.
With a healthy 4.0 mV output, the AT-VM95E works seamlessly with virtually any moving magnet (MM) phono input or outboard phono preamp, and the field-replaceable AT-VMN95E stylus keeps it serviceable for years.
