The Behringer CM1A is a MIDI to CV converter module designed to bridge modern MIDI instruments with analog modular synthesizer systems. It allows MIDI keyboards, sequencers, and digital audio workstations to control Eurorack modules by converting MIDI data into precise control voltages and trigger signals.
At the core of the CM1A is a high-resolution 16-bit Texas Instruments DAC that provides accurate pitch tracking and stable control voltage generation. This enables reliable note conversion from MIDI to CV for modular oscillators while maintaining precise tuning across the keyboard range.
The module features two trigger outputs that can drive envelope generators and other gate-based modules. Flexible trigger modes allow selection between V-Trig, S-Trig, or both simultaneously. With MIDI DIN connectivity and USB support, the CM1A integrates easily with both traditional MIDI hardware and modern computer-based production environments.
