The Blackmagic Design Fairlight Live Audio Panel 40 is the flagship desktop control surface in the Fairlight Live panel family, purpose-built for high-stakes live broadcast audio mixing. With 40 motorized flying faders and four 11.6-inch Full HD touchscreens, it gives broadcast engineers true hands-on command of large, complex mixes without banking, layering, or losing their place during a live show. Channel strips, levels, EQ, dynamics processing, and plug-in interfaces are presented directly on the touchscreens, while dedicated controls for layers, bus, matrix, aux, VCA, sub-masters, and talkback keep every part of the mix a single touch away.
Engineered for modern SMPTE-2110 broadcast facilities, the Audio Panel 40 connects over dual 10G Ethernet for 2110 IP video and audio, with a separate 1G management port and USB-C for computer connection, configuration, and software updates. Built-in analog XLR I/O, headphone outputs, and dedicated talkback headset connections make it a complete mixing position for live productions, outside broadcast trucks, sports, and large-venue events. The panel drives Blackmagic's software-based Fairlight Live mixer, which supports advanced workflows including spatial audio mixing.
As the top of the Fairlight Live panel lineup, the Panel 40 doubles the fader count and touchscreen real estate of the Audio Panel 20 and far exceeds the compact Audio Panel 10, making it the right choice for engineers mixing the largest live broadcasts.
