Blackmagic Design Media Dock Ultra 3RU Dual 100G Media Module Dock

The Blackmagic Media Dock Ultra is a high-performance 3RU rackmount dock that accelerates post-production by enabling extremely fast network sharing and upload directly from the Blackmagic Media Modules used in Blackmagic URSA Cine cameras. It holds up to three hot-swappable Media Modules in a server-style, front-to-rear ventilated chassis, letting editors and colorists pull camera-original media onto the network the moment cards come off set. Dual independent 100G QSFP28 Ethernet ports deliver up to 200G of aggregate bandwidth with load balancing, so multiple edit stations can connect and work directly off the same media without slow card copying.

Built for demanding broadcast, film and television environments, the Media Dock Ultra adds true workflow redundancy with two internal 100-240V AC power supplies on separate IEC C14 inputs and multiple fans for reliable, quiet operation in a machine room or rack. Each module bay is framed by an illuminated LED bezel that shows read and write activity at a glance, while two 3G-SDI outputs and an HDMI output drive a TV or monitor for real-time status, including device name, storage capacity, cloud sync state, user activity, hardware health, a storage map and a live network data-rate graph.

Integrated Blackmagic Cloud sync with Amazon Web Services S3 keeps media automatically backed up and accessible to globally distributed teams, and file sharing over NFS and SMB supports up to 50 simultaneous computer connections. A USB-C port and the dedicated 1G management Ethernet handle configuration and software updates via the Blackmagic Cloud Setup utility. Bundled Blackmagic Proxy Generator Lite streamlines proxy creation, making the Media Dock Ultra a complete ingest, sharing and collaboration hub for high-resolution URSA Cine workflows.
