The BOSS DD-500 Digital Delay Pedal combines 12 delay modes, up to 10 seconds of delay time, patch memory, a phrase looper, and extensive real-time control in a stage-ready effects processor. Its 32-bit AD/DA conversion, 32-bit floating-point processing, and 96 kHz sampling support detailed delay processing while preserving an analog dry signal path.

Guitarists can move from clean digital echoes and analog-style repeats to tape, reverse, shimmer, filter, patterned, and ambient effects without changing pedals. Two delays can operate together with flexible routing, while assignable footswitches, tap tempo, external control, MIDI, and expression support make the DD-500 suitable for advanced pedalboards and performance rigs.

A backlit graphic LCD provides access to patch names, delay settings, routing, and detailed editing parameters. The DD-500 supports selectable buffered or relay-based true bypass, stereo inputs and outputs, USB-MIDI, and standard MIDI connections. It operates from four AA alkaline batteries or an optional PSA-series AC adapter for flexible stage and studio integration.
