The BOSS DM-101 Delay Machine Analog Delay Pedal combines eight bucket-brigade device (BBD) chips with digital CPU control to produce 12 analog delay modes while keeping the audio signal path fully analog. It adds stereo processing, tap tempo, 127 user memories, modulation controls, MIDI, and configurable routing to traditional BBD delay circuitry.

Players can move from warm vintage echoes to clearer modern repeats, multi-head textures, ambience, rhythmic patterns, and expansive stereo effects. Six modes support stereo operation, making the DM-101 well suited for a stereo analog delay guitar rig, wet/dry amplifier setup, or MIDI-controlled pedalboard. Dedicated modulation and Variation controls provide immediate sound shaping without menu-driven editing.

Classic mode extends delay time to 1200 ms, while other modes alter BBD configuration, filtering, clock behavior, modulation, and stereo placement. Selectable carryover can preserve delay trails after bypass, and four memories are directly accessible from the pedal. External footswitch, expression, MIDI, and USB update connections support professional stage and studio integration.
