The BOSS EV-1-WL Wireless MIDI Expression Pedal provides foot-controlled MIDI operation through Bluetooth, USB, or TRS MIDI connections. Musicians can use all three outputs simultaneously with independent MIDI Control Change settings, making the pedal a flexible controller for compatible effects processors, music software, mobile apps, keyboards, drum machines, and other MIDI equipment.

Bluetooth MIDI enables cable-free control with compatible BOSS and Roland products, computers, smartphones, tablets, and other supported hardware. For wired setups, the class-compliant USB interface connects directly to macOS or Windows software without a dedicated driver, while the 3.5 mm TRS MIDI output controls compatible pedals and standard 5-pin MIDI equipment when used with the appropriate cable. A built-in toe switch expands hands-free control during performances.

The free EV-1-WL Editor for iOS and Android provides detailed control over MIDI CC assignments, pedal response, value ranges, MIDI channels, and switch behavior. A 1/4" TRS control input supports up to two compatible external footswitches. Power comes from two AA alkaline batteries for approximately 30 hours of continuous operation or an optional BOSS PSA-series AC adapter.
